Snowpocalypse

5 May, 2010

The deepest powder I skied this season was in the streets of Pittsburgh. Skiing thigh-deep on what used to be cobblestone streets now turned into a deserted expanse of white. What a winter. I only skied 17 days, but 5 of them were in Pittsburgh itself. Some of my favorite memories include skiing down Negley Ave, a notoriously steep street, my first encounter with the steeps of Pittsburgh. I remember skiing my first urban rail at CMU. I remember strapping LEDs onto myself and having friends taking photos of me as I skied in the dark. I remember juggling in the snow. I remember skiing in Frick Park, Schenley Park, and in my neighborhood. This winter I also won my first skiing competition. I remember talking to Kristi Leskinen. I remember learning a mute 3, mute 5, front flip, switch up, and a 270 off. All in Pittsburgh. Here are a few photos to remember the winter by.

Getting ready to ski near my house. Knee deep.

This is what it looks like when you ski with LEDs.

Having some fun near campus.

More fun near campus.

It was a good winter.
